What I Got For Christmas 2015

Merry Christmas!!!! I have had such an amazing lead up to Christmas this year, not only has it been festive and fun, but I also got a wonderful surprise from all of you on Christmas Eve when I hit 1,000 subscribers on my main youtube channel (cue little dance now)!!!

Before you ask, yes there is a 900 and 1000 subscriber giveaway coming in January so fear not, I am however going to take this next week off from my main channel and blog, I feel a little burnt out from all the extra work this month and could use a bit of down time to clean my house, but I will still be uploading daily vlogs!! Now into my Christmas Haul...

For Christmas this year I was quite spoiled and received a bath kit, 2 necklaces, 2 pairs of earrings, the Maybelline Holiday palette, Serg Normant Dream Big Haircare set, a Fairy Painting kit, and this super soft blanket. I'm currently cosied under the blanket and its amazing. I also received a very big gift from Don, he paid for me to get Invisalign, (I want to quickly point out this is not sponsored), I have always wanted to straighten my teeth and on January 20, 2016 I will have my first set of trays and be on my way to a better smile!!! 

That is everything I got this year, I hope you all had an amazing Christmas, and if you don't celebrate Christmas I hope you took this time to just relax and enjoy life, because when it comes down to it that's what we should all be doing!

                 
            

Christmas Shopping OOTD

Today was the annual Hawaii Kai Boat Parade which is always a ton of fun, I decided to head out early a get little bit of Christmas shopping done, I actually don't need a lot of stuff, I'm mostly just looking for stocking stuffers for Don, Charlie, and Louis. Whilst out and about I decided to have my blog pictures taken in front of this giant Christmas Tress because, why wouldn't you :)

Today I wore my cardigan from Nordstroms, a Calvin Klein tee, Jeggings from Walmart, boots from Old Navy, my Michale Kors purse, and my new earrings from Guess.

It worked out early well that I took my blog pictures here today because it is incredibly windy here and so the tree made my pictures a bit more "fun" which means the crazy hair doesn't really matter...right????

Stat Saturday

Today is Stat Saturday, already!!!! I feel like these are rolling by faster and faster each week, probably because I'm seeing no progress right now lol.

So this week I weighed in at 182 pounds, which is a bit depressing, but I also know that I haven't had time to get to the gym, nor having I been eating healthy. I'm thinking once the holidays are past, I will have a bit more time to focus on what I need to be doing, but right now I spend almost 4-5 hours a day editing, uploading, creating thumbnails, and blogging, so by the time the 25th rolls around I will have  a little less "work stress" and will be able to get back to my normal routine.

Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm Review

I'm back!!! You may have noticed I was absent for 2 days, thats because I was having technical difficulties, but I've gotten them sorted and we are back on track!

Today I am sharing with you lovely lot, my 110% all time favorite skincare product, and that is the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleaning Balm. If you haven't heard of this, I would be very surprised, because it seems like everyone is raving about Emma Hardie right now, and I can see why!

The cleansing balm comes with a wash cloth that is so incredibly soft, that it basically screams "rub me on your face" lol, the only downside of this cloth is that it shrinks, if any of you know how to prevent that please comment below because I am DESPERATE to know.

The cleansing balm is oil based and so it's very moisturizing, so what I like to do is apply it to my dry face with dry hands, let it sit whilst I brush my teeth, then apply warm water and massage your skin a bit more, and then wipe with a wet cloth. I have very dry skin so this step in the morning and at night feels very important to me as my skin drinks up a bit of the oil, even though this is an oil product, if you suffer from acne or oily skin, feel free to join in the fun, this product will not affect your skin negatively (I did try this on a relative who suffers from very severe acne and she actually felt like it helped her skin, as most acne products are very drying to the skin).

I first purchased a 50 ML, then I bought a 100 ML, and I just purchased my first 200 ML, and could not be happier, if there is ever an apocalypse, I'm grabbing my trusty cleansing balm and heading towards the nearest bunker lol.

Winter Fashion Haul & 25 Days Of Christmas Day 13

Living in Hawaii means I have access to gorgeous beaches year round, amazing tropical fruits always growing, and outdoor activities a plenty, but living in Hawaii also means I don't have to change up my wardrobe from summer to winter aside from a light sweater and some rain boots.

Knowing all of this, I did a little shopping on Black Friday and thought I would share with you everything I got.

These burgundy ankle boots are from Old Navy, I love them, they have a 2 inch heel which is perfect for those days that you want something classy but comfy at the same time.

The Michael Kors rain boots I purchased from Nordstrom at a huge discount, and they were much cheaper than the Hunter rain boots I was originally going to get, the only downside is the squeaking, it literally sounds like I'm walking on ducks lol.

I LOVE Old Navy's Curvy Skinny Jeans, they give you the skinny jean look without showing off all your bulgy bits, they also come in about 5 different denim shades so major +.

This is actually my Christmas Day outfit, I was a bit disappointed when the dress arrives, as online it stated it was black, it's actually a very dark brown, as well as in the picture it looked like it was glittery/sparkly, when intact its just a bunch of Khaki dots, but I will wear it none the less, the tights are a textured print and while they look quite thick them seem to still be able to breathe.

I also grabbed a few basic shirts, I got 3 v-neck tees, and a 3/4 sleeve sweater with pocket on the front.

I also got a new knit sweater, but sadly spilt coffee before I could get a picture so it is currently in the wash, but you can view it here.

Stat Saturday & 25 Days Of Christmas Giveaway Day 12

Today I woke up with a sore throat and by 12 pm my voice was almost completely gone, so I weighed myself and went back to bed for several hours! Today I weighed in at 182 pounds, I didn't make it to the gym one time this week, I feel like I am letting myself and you guys down, but at the same time I can only spread peanut butter so thin and between blogging/vlogging, helping Don with his business, keeping my house clean, walking my dogs every few hours (#CondoLiving lol), and living life, I honestly feel like my life is imploding. 

One of my goals is to get super organized (even though I spend most of my life organized it never feels like enough), and I am also considering hiring a housekeeping service to come around once a week just to give me those few hours to focus on whatever I want to be focusing on that week. I sometimes feel like there is so much pressure as a woman to be able to "do it all", and I don't know if I'm broken or if feeling completely defeated at the end of everyday is normal, but if thats normal then I want to be abnormal. I know this is a deeper chat than we normally have but I'm just currently fighting to keep my head above water and needed a little vent!

Do you guys ever feel this way, if so what do you think, can we "do it all"?

Tarte & Too Faced Holiday Gift Sets

One of the really exciting parts of the holidays coming round, is the amazing gift sets that come out from the beauty companies. This year I got my hands on the Tarte Holidaze of Giving and the Too Faced La Grande Chateau and thought I would go through and show you guys swatches as well as stare my thoughts on each item.

With the Tarte Holidaze Set you get 12 eye shadows, 2 blushes, 1 eye cream, 2 brushes, 4 eyeliners, 1 mascara, 2 lip glosses, and 3 lip sticks. 

The mascara is the Lights Camera Lashes and I have to say this is honestly one of my favorite mascaras ever, not only do you get volume and length but you get it without clumping.

The two brushes that came with this palette are not my favorite, they are a bit long (the brush hairs) for my liking I feel like you end up getting shadow and blush where you don't want it when the brush is too long.

The eye cream though is fantastic, it almost feels like there is a serum within the eye cream so to some it might feel a tiny bit oily but because I have such dry skin, I love it!

The eye shadows and blushes are really pigmented, and I love the mix of matte and shimmer shades in each palette. 

The four liners are brown, navy, purple, and black, these liners are very creamy with a lot of color payoff, but they are thick so it is hard to get a really thin line, as well as they are very creamy so they break really easily, I also don't care for the smudger, I feel like its wiping the liner rather than smudging and I think it would work better if the smudger was sponge material rather than that rubbery material.

The 3 lipsticks are to die for, not only are they creamy but they don't have that crazy sheen that some really creamy lipsticks have.

The 2 lip glosses however will not be used by me as they are CRAZY STICKY, and I can't stand a sticky lip gloss, its actually really sad how sticky they are as they are such nice colors.

We then have the Too Faced La Grande Chateau, first off the packaging on this is like an 11 out of 10, it is so cute and I so badly want to give it to my 4 year old niece Sophia, but at the same time I want to keep it for myself!

This set comes with 3 palettes, each with 6 shadows, and 1 blush/bronzer, it then comes with a mini Better Than Sex Mascara, for me this mascara is a nightmare and I wouldn't ever purchase this for myself, its so clumpy and creates such chaotic looking lashes, where your lashes are kind of going all over, and for myself I really like a nice clean lash with a bit of value and length, but there are others like Zoe Sugg who stated that she loved this mascara so I'm going to say each to her own on this.

The palettes though are incredible, not only do you end up with the most ridiculous amount of shadows, but its not like some sets were they start to repeat themselves, you have an honest to goodness variety for anytime of year. I also love that all the names are in French, even though lets be honest my French is HORRIBLE!

All in all both sets are great for the beauty lover, and while I thought I would share the palettes with my sister, I must admit I have kept them all lol.

Today my life has been crazy! I woke up early and got ready for the gym, only to fall back a sleep on the couch, and somehow during this unplanned nap I manged to remove my earrings (which I'm not allowed to remove yet), and so now I have 2 earrings with no backs lol.

I then went to a meeting about the 25 Days Of Christmas Giveaway, and after about 2 hours there, rushed home to edit and upload today's videos only to see that the footage for todays workout video was "corrupt" so I figured I had about 4 minutes before heading out again so I was going to do a 60 second workout, just something that could get my heartbeat up, remind my body I'm alive and then head to meeting number 2!

My Meals Monday & 25 Days Of Christmas Giveaway Day 7

Today has been such a crazy day for me, which means my meals were quite sporadic. 

I started my morning off with my usual coffee and water, and then had Orange Juice, Eggs, and Berry Waffles. 

We then went to the moves were I had a Coke Zero, Popcorn and Edamame, (our theater just started selling that, and it's actually really nice to munch on whilst watching The Hunger Games!).

When we got home it was kind of late so I just made a sandwich.

I told you, this was a sporadic food day for me, hopefully I can get a little more routine oriented next week, it has felt like I'm constantly playing catch up with the vlogs and the main channel videos, along with the 25 Days of Christmas Giveaway, but I'm hoping to hit my stride soon.

Style Sunday: Do Nothing OOTD & 25 Days Of Christmas Giveaway Day 6

As you all know, this past week I have been sick, but I am finally feeling better, which means a weekend jam packed with catch up work, so I spent the day sat at the computer editing, which means a not so glamorous OOTD. 

Today I wore a white tee from Calvin Klein and curvey skinny jeans from Old Navy. I love these jeans the only downside is I bought them in a regular rather than a petite and being 5'2" these jeans are about 6 inches too long so I have cuffed them, and actually I think it gives it more of a relaxed beachy look, but sometimes I would prefer to have some nice skinny jeans for dinners, so I think I will be purchasing another pair lol.

Today I completely forgot that it was Stat Saturday and at about 4pm was like "oh Sh*t", and so I threw this lovely video together lol. Workout Wednesday: My New Journey & 25 Days Of Christmas Giveaway Day 2

Today I wanted to share a little update on my fitness journey, I recently signed up with Lucy Wyndham-Read for her online personal training. I am very excited about this as it will help with my accountability because we will have set appointments, so I will have no choice but to actually do the work.

For me the personal training is a good option but with the 25 Days Of Christmas going on I can't  afford a full time personal trainer, for Lucy's digital training it was only about $40, so it was a much more reasonable choice for me.

I started this new journey on Monday and will continue to give you all updates on this new exciting venture.

I would also like to point out that Lucy has a free monthly workout plan on her website so you can workout out with her too.

Advent Haul & 25 Days Of Christmas Day

Since today it the beginning of Advent (calendars that is), I thought it would only be fitting if I did an Advent Haul post!

Because last year I suffered from massive FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out, except it wasn't fear because I knew I was missing out lol), when it came to Advent Calendars because I couldn't find any here in Hawaii and the ones I found online didn't ship to Hawaii, so this year I planned ahead, shipped everything to my sister and then she shipped to me. Unfortunately I think I may have gone a little overboard, but lets be honest, this is Christmas, there is no such thing as going overboard at Christmas...right?

This Playmobil Christmas Room With Illuminating Tree Advent Calendar was the first one I purchased, I had seen this particular calendar on Zoe Sugg's vlogmas and instantly knew this needed to be a part of my Christmas Life. I am so excited to play with this, that I have already set up the background for it and am now eagerly awaiting the moment when I can open that first door.

The next calendar I picked up was the Yankee Candle Countdown Calendar, I mentioned in my video that I thought I paid $40 for this but actually it was about $25. I was really excited to get this calendar as I had seen the ones from last year and really wanted to experience a different candle for everyday of the countdown, but while this comes with 24 candles there are actually only 12 different scents, which was a little disappointing. 

Back in October I started my "Advent Research" and so many beauty bloggers raved about The Body Shop's 2014 Advent Calendar that I knew I had to have the 24 Days Of Happy in my life, unfortunately it wasn't available yet, so I added my name to the mailing list and the moment that email came saying it was in stock, I bought it, right there in the Safeway parking lot hahaha. 

One thing I love about this calendar (aside from the heavenly scents wafting from it), is the fact that it is also a charitable donation, so when you buy one of these calendars you are providing one day of clean water to a family. At this point you're thinking "Clean water, how is that a charitable donation, they're ripping you off", well sadly about 663 million (or 1in 10) people live without access to clean water, so by purchasing this product for yourself, your actually aiding a family in need as well.

Whilst making a few purchases for the 25 Days Of Christmas Giveaway on QVC, I happened to stumble across this bad boy, it's the QVC Beauty Advent Calendar, I like this calendar because it encompasses all of the beauty department so your hair, nails, skin, and actual makeup will be covered in this one calendar. I also saw the reviews and everyone was going crazy for this, so me suffering from FOMO, had to buy it lol.

I then happened to be reading a comment on a YouTube video (can't remember which or else I would have linked it), about the TopShop Freedom Calendar, which I was like "Is that some sort of like protest thing" (shows how much I know lol), so I clicked the link and it took me to this amazing calendar. It is 24 days of jewelry, now it's not going to be a Tiffany Bracelet or anything, but I still love the idea of getting a little something new everyday.

My final Advent purchase happened because I stumbled into my local Starbucks on the right day, the Starbucks Advent Calendar is a hot commodity where I live, they sold out island wide last year and they never got any new stock, so when I saw this lone guy sitting in the basket and the barista said it was their last one for the season I grabbed it, and never let it go...well I did, when I got in the car, cause that would have been awkward, but I think you get my point. I do however feel like it might be a little over hyped as it actually only contains chocolate, peppermint bark, and one $5 gift card, so I have a feeling I probably won't repurchase this one next year.

I know you may be thinking I bought to many, which I completely agree with, but I also feel like this is my last Christmas in my 20's, the last Christmas before I am supposed to be a full on proper adult who has babies, and sits at home on a Friday night and goes to bed at 9pm...wait I do that already lol. My point is this Christmas feels like my last hurrah before I have to full on settle down and do a lot of really boring adult things, so I've decided to live it up, go big or go home, all or nothin, the hell out of this Christmas.
